BET Green Week 2026

Posted on: 15/06/2026

Students marked the end of BET Green Week 2026 with a range of lunchtime activities with a focus on environmental awareness.

Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to interact with animals in the Farm department, cleaning the chicken coop and grooming the guinea pigs, as well as handling tortoises. These experiences encouraged a sense of responsibility and respect for the animals in our care.

In the Canteen, a popular Tasting Zone allowed students to explore different foods, promoting curiosity and openness to new experiences. In the Library, students wrote short poems about nature and shared their favourite outdoor activities.

Meanwhile, in the Art department, students demonstrated both creativity by repurposing old jeans, transforming them into new items and preventing additional waste from going to landfill. During the paper-making activity, students experimented with upcycling paper waste by combining coloured paper scraps and flower petals, blending and straining the mixture to create textured, handmade sheets. These unique pieces dried overnight to be ready for future use.

BET Green Week provided a valuable opportunity for students to engage in sustainable practices, showcasing their creativity while reinforcing the importance of respecting the environment.
