The Governing Body

The key roles of the governing body are:

  • To ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
  • To hold the Head of School to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff
  • To oversee the financial performance of the school and make sure its money is well spent.

The Governing Body was appointed by the Bourne Education Trust to take over from the Interim Academy Board following the removal of special measures in the Section 5 Ofsted visit in March 2016.
