Welcome to the Matthew Arnold School
Thank you for visiting our website. I am delighted to be able to introduce you to the Matthew Arnold School whether you are a current or prospective parent, or an interested candidate for a post at the school. I hope that it will provide a brief insight into our school and some of the work undertaken by our students and staff.
Our aim at Matthew Arnold is simple – we want to be the best school for the children we serve. In practice this means our staff are working enthusiastically so that students:
- Achieve the best examination results they can.
- Have opportunities to be enriched by a wide variety of extra-curricular activities.
- Learn the skills and values required to be successful in life and work in the 21st Century.
At Matthew Arnold we view each child as a unique person with great abilities, skills and talents. We aim to challenge students to meet and exceed their potential in their learning whilst encouraging and supporting them so that each individual will achieve their best.
We are a Business and Enterprise school which, in partnership with parents and the community, seeks to prepare our students for the modern world; we want them to flourish and grow during their time with us, develop all of their many talents and go on confidently to achieve their ambitions, whatever they might be.
