From Monday 22 February all students will have a reading hour as part of their weekly timetable. This is to encourage time away from the screen, time away from academic stress and time for relaxation, enjoyment and escapism! 

There are lots of ideas here if students don't have a particular book with them, and we are running a competition to kickstart it by offering to buy a book for a student in each year group. 

Reading hours are as follows:

• Year 7 - Monday P2
• Year 8 - Monday P2
• Year 9 - Monday P1
• Year 10 - Tuesday P4
• Year 11 - Tuesday P1 (week 1) and Wednesday P1 (week 2)
