Uniform

Please ensure all items are clearly labelled.  Uniform must be worn smartly to and from school as well as in school.

Hooded or branded tops are not permitted to be worn to or from school or in school.

Boys:  
Blazer:  Regulation black blazer with school badge
Shirt:   White school shirt with collar suitable for a tie
Tie: School tie
Trousers:  Plain black school trousers
Shoes: Black shoes, plain black socks
Jumper (optional): Regulation black ‘V’ necked jumper with green trim for cold weather to be worn under blazer (no cardigans)
Girls:  
Blazer:  Regulation black blazer with school badge
Shirt: Plain white school shirt/blouse with collar suitable for a tie (must have a top button, no pleats)
Tie:  School tie
Skirt: Regulation black school skirt (no lycra or pencil skirts)
Trousers: Regulation plain black school trousers
Shoes: Black shoes (3cm maximum heel), plain black socks
Jumper (optional): Regulation black ‘V’ necked jumper with green trim for cold weather to be worn under blazer (no cardigans)
Physical Education Kit:  
Top:   Yellow MA school polo shirt
Shorts: Green MA school shorts
Socks:  Green MA school socks
Outer top Yellow MA school sweatshirt (optional)
Protection: Gum shields, shin pads
Footwear: Non-marking trainers

Regulations.

  • Shoes must be plain black, a sensible school style and enable quiet and safe movement about the building. Pumps, ‘Vans’, plimsolls and trainers are not to be worn.
  • Outside coats should be of dark colours.
  • Fashion clothing is not allowed: for example no fashion branded clothing items, leather, jeans or hoodies.
  • Jewellery - a watch, one plain gold or silver ear stud per ear and one plain ring. No spear or hooped ear rings are permitted.
  • Year 10 and 11 students only are permitted to wear discreet make-up.  Nail varnish is not accepted, nor are acrylic nails – pupils will be asked to remove these items.
  • Extreme hairstyles eg colours, shapes/symbols shaved into the head or a haircut with a grade 1 or less are not acceptable. We ask parents to support the school in what is deemed acceptable.
